JanaSethu is an internal family and scheme-management application commissioned by VRB Foundation for use exclusively by its authorized personnel. It is developed and technically supported by ResoluTech Solutions.
1. Responsibility for information
VRB Foundation determines which records are collected, why they are needed, who may access them and how long they are retained. ResoluTech Solutions provides development and technical support under VRB Foundation’s instructions.
2. Information processed
Depending on the records entered by authorized personnel, JanaSethu processes:
- Staff account information, including names, usernames, roles and permissions.
- Family information, including addresses, phone numbers, household size and geographical details.
- Member information, including names, dates of birth, gender, family relationships, occupation and income.
- Aadhaar numbers and optional voter identification numbers.
- Scheme criteria, eligibility assessments, application statuses and related dates.
- CSV files submitted for importing records.
- Audit records of administrative activity and changes.
Authorized personnel must ensure they have the necessary permission or other lawful basis to collect and enter information, including information about family members and children.
3. Purpose of processing
Information is processed to support VRB Foundation’s activities, including maintaining family records, assessing recorded scheme criteria, tracking applications, preparing reports and managing authorized access.
JanaSethu does not sell personal information or use it for advertising. The application does not contain advertising SDKs.
4. Access and disclosure
Access is restricted through authenticated accounts and assigned permissions. Records may be accessed by authorized VRB Foundation personnel and service providers where necessary to host, maintain or support the system.
ResoluTech Solutions may access relevant information when needed to provide authorized technical support. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or a valid legal request.
5. Security
The application communicates with its connected backend through HTTPS. Aadhaar values are stored using the backend’s encryption mechanism and masked in standard member displays.
The mobile application does not save account passwords or maintain an offline household database. Authorized users must protect their credentials and report suspected unauthorized access to their VRB Foundation administrator.
No security measure guarantees complete protection.
6. Imports, reports and screenshots
Selected CSV files are uploaded to the backend for validation and import. Successfully imported records become part of VRB Foundation’s database.
Reports may be downloaded to a user-selected destination. Screenshots are also permitted. Authorized personnel must protect exported files and screenshots and share them only for approved Foundation purposes.
7. Retention
VRB Foundation determines retention periods according to its operational needs and applicable obligations. Records may be retained for ongoing work, accountability, security or legal requirements.
Removing the application from a phone or disabling a staff account does not delete Foundation records. Copies may remain in backups or audit records according to the Foundation’s retention arrangements.
8. Correction, access and deletion requests
Individuals whose information is recorded may request access, correction or deletion through VRB Foundation. Staff members may request account closure through their Foundation administrator.
Requests can also be submitted to connect@resolutechsolutions.com for coordination with VRB Foundation. Use the subject “JanaSethu Privacy Request.”
Provide sufficient information to identify the relevant account or record. Do not email passwords or complete Aadhaar numbers.
Requests are subject to verification of identity and authority. VRB Foundation will determine the appropriate action and explain any information that must be retained. Closing a staff account does not automatically delete records entered on behalf of other individuals.
9. Children’s information
The application is intended for authorized adult personnel, although family records may include children’s information. Such information must be collected and managed with the necessary parental, guardian or other lawful authorization.
10. Scheme assessments
JanaSethu supports recordkeeping and assessment against configured scheme criteria. An assessment does not guarantee approval or receipt of benefits. Final decisions remain with the relevant administering organization or authority.
11. Policy updates
This policy may be updated when the application or information-handling practices change. The latest published version will show its updated date.
